噴泉是一種將水或其他液體經過一定壓力通過噴頭噴灑出來具有特定形狀的組合體，提供水壓的一般為水泵。噴泉景觀概括來說可以分為兩大類：

　　一是因地制宜，根據現場地形結構，仿照天然水景制作而成，如：壁泉、霧泉、管流、溪流、瀑布、水簾、跌水、水濤、漩渦等。

　　二是完全依靠噴泉設備人工造景。這類水景近年來在建筑領域廣泛應用，發展速度很快，種類繁多，有音樂噴泉、程控噴泉、擺動噴泉、跑動噴泉、光亮噴泉、游樂噴泉、超高噴泉、激光水幕電影等。

　　人工噴泉本是明朝園林建筑中的景觀，由明熹宗朱由校發明。明熹宗發明了中國*早的噴泉，宮中的人都叫這種噴泉為銅缸水戲，這在當時可是天下一絕。那時宮中都用銅缸或是木桶盛水飲用，他就在這些盛水的容器下方鑿一個小孔，在里面設置機關，機關一操作，缸中的水就能飛散出來，有時瀉如瀑布，有時又散若飛雪，**變成一根玉柱，擊打著放在缸外面的許多小木球，木球浮在水尖上，隨著水的噴吐而跳躍不已，久久不息?！　?/p>

人工噴泉的作用

　　人工噴泉一般是為了造景的需要，人工建造的具有裝飾性的噴水裝置。噴泉可以濕潤周圍空氣，減少塵埃，降低氣溫。噴泉的細小水珠同空氣分子撞擊，能產生大量的負氧離子。因此，噴泉有益于改善城市面貌和增進居民身心健康。

　人工噴泉分類

　　(1) 水池噴泉：這是*常見的形式，設計水池，安裝噴頭、燈光、設備。停噴時，是一個靜水池。

　　(2)旱池噴泉：噴頭等隱于地下，適用于讓人參與的地方，如廣場、游樂場。停噴時是場中一塊微凹地坪，缺點是水質易污染。(3)淺池噴泉：噴頭于山石、盆栽之間，可以把噴水的全范圍做成一個淺水盆，也可以僅在射流落點之處設幾個水缽。美國迪斯尼樂園有座間歇噴泉，由A定時噴一串水珠至B，再由B噴一串水珠至C，如此不斷循環跳躍下去周而復始。

　　(4)舞臺噴泉：影劇院、跳舞廳、游樂場等場所，有時作為舞臺前景、背景，有時作為表演場所和活動內容。這里小型的設施，水池往往是活動的。

　　(5) 盆景噴泉：家庭、公共場所的擺設，大小不一，此種以水為主要景觀的設施，不限于"噴"的水姿，而易于吸取高科技成果，做出讓人意想不到的景觀，很有啟發意義。

　　(6) 自然噴泉：噴頭置于自然水體之中。

　　(7)水幕影像：上海城隍廟的水幕電影，由噴水組成10余米寬、20余米長的扇形水幕，與夜晚天際連成一片，電影放映時，人物馳聘萬里，來去無影。

Emperor Xizong of the Ming Dynasty invented the earliest fountain in China. People in the palace called this fountain a bronze tank water play, which was unique in the world at that time. At that time, the Palace used copper jars or wooden barrels to hold water for drinking. He chiseled a small hole under these water containers and set a mechanism inside. Once the mechanism was operated, the water in the jars could fly out. Sometimes it flowed like a waterfall, sometimes it scattered like snow, and finally it turned into a jade pillar, hitting many small wooden balls outside the jars. The wooden balls floated on the water tip and jumped with the water for a long time.

　　Function of artificial fountain

　　Artificial fountains are generally decorative water sprinklers built for the needs of landscaping. Fountains can moisten the surrounding air, reduce dust and lower the temperature. The tiny drops of water in the fountain collide with air molecules and can produce a large number of negative oxygen ions. 　　Classification of artificial fountains

　　(2) Dry pool fountain: the sprinkler is hidden underground and is suitable for places where people can participate, such as squares and amusement parks. (3) Shallow pool fountain: the sprinkler is placed between rocks and potted plants, which can make the whole range of spraying water into a shallow basin, or only set a few water bowls at the jet falling point. A regularly sprays a string of drops of water to B, and then B sprays a string of drops of water to C. in this way, it continues to cycle and jump.

　　(4) Stage fountains: cinemas, dance halls, amusement parks and other places, sometimes used as stage foreground and background, and sometimes used as performance places and activities. Small facilities and pools here are often mobile.

　　(7) Water curtain image: the water curtain film of the Chenghuang Temple in Shanghai consists of a fan-shaped water curtain with a width of more than 10 meters and a length of more than 20 meters, which is connected with the sky at night.
